Fine art is that in which the hand, the head, and the heart of man go together.

About me

I was born in Petach Tikva Israel .after my marriage moved to Kibbutz Kfar-Giladi , upper Galilee in the north of Israel near the Lebanese border.
I was a ceramics artist until I discover the quilt about 30 years ago.
I chose to create art quilts each with its own story.
I have a B.A in fine art, Haifa University. Ceramics in Tel-Hi technical college and
textile in Shenkar college of art design and many courses with an emphasis on color & printing in the USA and Europe.
My works have been exhibited in Solo exhibition and group exhibitions in Israel and abroad, also appear in catalogues ,books ,newspaper and magazines in Israel and abroad .
I make use of many different materials most of cotton fabric that I dyed with a
large palette of colors. I paint with textile dye and acrylic paint. I work with free motion and quilting with the sewing machine .
My personal work style comes from a range of technologies and colours. Free colouring on material is made up of various colorings techniques, printing, screen printing, digital camera, Discharging and more.
I need to be free with the fabric, to put layers where the eyes send me for. which creation interesting and colorful texture that stimulates the eye.
I am artist that paints abstracts but instead of using a paintbrush I used fabric.
The impetus for my work is the world around me, its shapes, patterns, colors and textures. War and fire close to me from time to time. I use many different construction techniques, depending on the idea of the quilt, so my quilts are often very different from each other. The works are varied and are characterized by many layers of fabric .
